Imari joined the Chef Ann Foundation team in August 2021 and serves as the organization’s Programs Marketing Coordinator. In this role, she supports program awareness around Healthy School Food Pathways through the development of digital marketing efforts and in-person events.

Imari joined the Chef Ann Foundation team in August 2021 and serves as the organization’s Programs Marketing Coordinator. In this role, she supports program awareness around Healthy School Food Pathways through the development of digital marketing efforts and in-person events.

Prior to joining the Chef Ann Foundation, Imari received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Imari is passionate about sustainability and believes that sharing delicious meals is one of the best ways to nourish our connections to our cultures, communities, and environments. She believes that introducing whole-ingredient scratch cooking to K-12 districts is a powerful way to support all students while making our food system more sustainable and equitable for all.

During her free time, you can find her searching for sustainable finds at the local flea market, baking treats for her pup, or sitting in front of a potter’s wheel.

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
