Brenna joined the Chef Ann Foundation team in June of 2023 as the Program Coordinator of Operator Support Programs. In this role, she is responsible for program and project management of school food operator support and technical assistance programs, including Get Schools Cooking, The Lunch Box, SCALE, and Specialized Programming.

Brenna joined the Chef Ann Foundation team in June of 2023 as the Program Coordinator of Operator Support Programs. In this role, she is responsible for program and project management of school food operator support and technical assistance programs, including Get Schools Cooking, The Lunch Box, SCALE, and Specialized Programming.

Brenna started her career in school nutrition as an assistant director of food services for a public school district in Massachusetts where she worked to implement farm-to-school programs through school-owned grow towers and increase student involvement in the school lunch program. Brenna is currently working towards receiving her master’s degree in Applied Nutrition with a concentration in Nutrition Education from Northeastern University. She has developed a strong passion for improving the nutritional quality of school meals and increasing nutrition education in schools to help students develop a healthy relationship with food that will last a lifetime. Her overarching career goal is to impact as many lives as possible and work towards creating a world where everybody has the opportunity to live a healthy life.

In her free time, Brenna loves creating and cooking new healthy recipes, reading, traveling, visiting and supporting local farmer’s markets, spending time with family and friends, and living an active lifestyle.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
